Maria became a Lecturer at the
National Sports Academy in 2009 and two years later she was already a Senior
Lecturer.
Amongst the courses she has been
lecturing are:
- coaching;
- rhythmic gymnastics;
- educational gymnastics;
- esthetic group gymnastics;
- theory of sports;
Maria’s role involves designing,
coordinating and delivering theoretical and practical courses for undergraduate
students. Amongst these students are those who will graduate as coaches or as
Physical Education Teachers. Her position is demanding and involves leadership,
innovation and managing further sports disciplines including personal tutoring,
projects supervision, lecturing in further gymnastics’ activities and acting as
a work placement tutor.
Consultancy
Maria has been a consultant on several occasions:
- Consultant
within the Scientific Committee of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics
Federation;
- Consultant with different rhythmic and aesthetic
gymnastics team (2001-2013).
- Physiological monitoring of the Bulgarian
national team of aesthetic gymnastics (2009; 2012/2013). Her input was mainly
investigating and monitoring the volume and intensity of training sessions in
order to verify the effect of the loading.
- Choreography consultant with different troupes
and shows.
- Key note speaker in scientific seminar
parallel to the Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Games. Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 2010
